By the decree of the president of the state of former street kids “Republic “Pilgrim” and by the signatures of the Cabinet the strong-willed decision was made: the Mount Priest Ivan in the Carpathians will be taken in the summer of 2009. In this season of trips the second in height top of the Carpathians mountains hasn’t obeyed the pilgrims – the strong wind and hail made obstacles.

I can not get rid of horrible sensation that the Church on the post Soviet space is falling asleep. Such feeling that we are filled with spiritual dream books and gradually doze in a coma liturgical condition.

Last night in the children’s center of rehabilitation an adolescent in a very drugged state has been taken.

In the Chervone village for the foster home “Eagle’s Nest” more than 6 tons of firewood and 6 tons of coal were brought. This show amazed the children and made the foster parents happy. The autumn season has started!

In the late September the termless project “You will be found” started. It was initiated by the Fund “Pilgrim”, the studio ‘TV TOGETHER’ and the TV channel TBN. The former street kids of Mariupol traveled about Russia to tell the people how bad it is to live without close loving people, to reveal the feelings of street kids who have neither family, nor siblings, nor hope.

In the 3rd of August the children of the largest in Ukraine Mariupol children’s rehab center “Republic Pilgrim” ascended the mountain Elbrus ( 18000 feet). Sharp at 11.30 the banners of Ukraine and “Republic Pilgrim” were lifted over the highest western peak.

For the first time Western Ukraine appeared at the map of the rehab centers of the Charity Fund “Pilgrim”.

Alexei Parovyshnyk : "The drug became the center of my life. It wasn’t important for me that I lost family, wife and son, that my health was getting worse".

In May in the family of Isaevs one more child appeared. In his 9th birthday which Peter celebrated in the specialized orphanage in Makeevka he asked the only thing for a present – “Give me a family!”

The Pilgrims have made an ascension on the snowed Goverla mountain. To see a famous mountain and to ascend the height of 6800 feet was a lifetime event for the children who saw in their life only basements.
