Mission can be accomplished: the Czechs and the pilgrims
In early august the long awaited guests from Czech Republic and Poland came to the center of children’s rehabilitation “Republic “Pilgrim”.
Already several years in a row annually the Czech youth come to serve to the kids. This year the missionary team from Poland came along with them. The guests can always find what to do to hang out with the kids: they have a fellowship, make different events, and make tours, to the theatre and to the beach. The pilgrims learn folk dances, songs and games of CzechRepublic and Poland. This year the unforgettable for the children was the Day of Czech Republic when they got to know where this country was, watched a movie about Czech Republic, its history and sights. The pilgrims asked questions and our friends told about the traditions of their countries and churches with a great pleasure.
The Czech mission “Nehemiah” helps to develop this ministry in different countries of the world, among them there are Ukraine, Belarus, Africa and many others. The guys came from different cities where some of them minister to children in their churches and others get their first experience. But they share in unison that they love Ukraine and love the kids of Pilgrim and made so many friends here. The guests leave today and the pilgrims prepared a farewell party for them and some of the kids will go to Donetsk to see the guests off. Each of the missionaries plans on coming here again and to serve to the kids.
Veronika Lighartova, Pardubitse, CzechRepublic (she was in Republic Pilgrim for the 4th time): “I just love coming here, I have many friends here and I am sure I can’t help coming here again and again. I am eager to see how all these kids will grow up…”
Recently, in the "Republic Pilgrim" took place the election of a new government. The race was quite tense. A few new guys have declared themselves as strong candidates and presidential elections were difficult.
Adoptive father of 32 children, pastor -pilgrim Gennady Mokhnenko and his family live today in a fairly cramped conditions. The house they live in consists of two rooms for 13 people. Recently, the adoptive family, with a charitable donation, was able to purchase another small house. Both houses need a lot of repairs, however, both parents and children are happy - they are now having more space where they can live.
At the end of 2011 in Italy, in Sassuolo, a second charity exhibition and sale of "ARTE solidale" took place. It was organized for the financial support of children center "Republic Pilgrim", in Mariupol, and for the African Mission in Burkina Faso, where for 40 years working missionaries Lisa and Umberto Ladder.

In the center of children's rehabilitation "Republic Pilgrim" in Mariupol, were guests of the British Liverpool. Jennifer and Marc are already familiar with pilgrim children. They were together at last summer camp in the Crimea: played football, went on hike at the Grand Canyon, and now they came to visit “Pilgrim” again.
In a large-scale project "Crystal Heart" workers of "Pilgrim", the adoptive parents Eugene and Svetlana Isaev, that have adoptive children with HIV-positive, have won first place the "Big Heart".
Pastor- pilgrim Gennady Mokhnenko going into another trip to Africa, Kenya, scheduled for mid-January of 2012. Pastor has a desire to see the same desperately dedicated travelers, who will spend 10 days of the mission in one of the poorest regions in the world.
